Do you find your day-to-day activities are restricted by either by stiffness or pain?  Do you find it’s getting harder to do essential things like getting in and out of your car, bending down to put on your shoes, or reaching up to get something out of a cupboard?  Maybe it’s affecting your recreational activities like walking, swimming or dancing?

Getting started is the hardest part. But we make that easy!
Classes are FREE. No advance registration required, just show up! Wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle if you’d like. Keep a sense of curiosity, a sense of humor and a sense of joy in trying new things, moving in new ways

We’re going to focus on gentle movement, stretching and breathing. We’ll be guided and gently challenged in ways that will bring more integrity and ease to how we move throughout the day. Each chair-based exercise is designed to challenge us to move our body in a new way – promoting range of motion, strength, balance, and coordination.  We will explore our hips’ ability to rotate, our spine’s ability to round and arch, and our upper body’s ability to twist – all those things that allow us to be active and enjoy life’s daily adventures.

Our next session will begin on February 4th and runs through March 27th at 10 am in the Broughton Room of the Crook County Library at 175 NW Meadow Lakes Drive.

Held on Wednesdays, seated stretches promoting range of motion, balance and coordination.

Held on Fridays, seated easy movement to upbeat music increasing mobility, stability and strength.

Even if you feel like you’ve lost your mobility and your joints are anything but smooth, you can make a difference, regardless of your age or mobility challenges. When we’re facing mobility limitations, exercise can seem daunting, if not impossible.  So let’s focus on what we can still do, instead of what we’ve lost.

Our body needs to move every day to keep it working the right way. Our full seated workouts at Mobility for Life are designed to stretch, relax, and energize our bodies – from head to fingers to toes. We may stand a bit, use the wall, or use simple tools (that we provide), but our goal is to get our bodies moving better. Exercises can easily be adjusted to fit your personal needs.

If you’d like to try these exercises home, we’ve recorded previous sessions on Wild Life Training and Coaching’s webpage: https://www.wild-lifetraining.com/mobility-for-life

Rebecca had brought a ray of sunshine into our lives during our Mobility for Life classes. She demonstrates how even small movements can make a big difference! She keeps us from getting discouraged by giving us modifications to help us reach our movement goals.

She encourages us to focus on what we CAN do. We start small and celebrate each progression…even the smallest ones! She challenges us to move our bodies in a new way – all from a seated position! These workouts have improved our range of motion, strength, balance and coordination. Rebecca leads the class with smiles and conversation which makes the workouts so enjoyable!
