Let’s Walk Together
We have group walks on various days at different times from April thru June. Review our hosted groups on our webpage and register using the link provided on that page.
Whether you join one of our groups, walk with an existing group or walk on your own, we encourage you to sign up. By participating, you’ll help support our Minutes Can Matter challenge—every minute you walk adds to the pledged funds benefiting cancer patients in Crook County. Join us to make a difference together!

Healing Heart Walks
Grief can take may forms. It may come from losing a loved one, but it can also follow major life changes, health challenges, relationship shifts, or other unexpected losses. Wherever you are in your journey, you don’t have to walk alone.
Join us for the Healing Hearts Walk Series beginning April 3 at 11 AM at St. Charles Prineville (meet in front of the hospital on the patio on the northwest end)
Each week explore a different aspect of grief in a supportive and compassionate space and then we’ll take a gentle walk together. The series will be facilitated by Aaron and Mindy, who will guide conversations on topics such as understanding different types of grief, how grief affects the body, navigating relationships after loss, and adjusting to life after major change or illness.
- Share if you wish or just listen if you prefer
- Connect with others who understand
- Walk at your own pace or just sit and chat
Healing often begins with a simple step forward – and sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is walk together.

Community Garden Party
On Saturday, May 9th from 10 am to 2 pm at Prineville Presbyterian Church. CCOTM’s Community Garden Party truly fosters a sense of community as we learn about gardening and caring for our health. It’s FREE!
There is a variety of fun activities along with free veggie starts, gardening tips, and Master Gardeners’ learning station. Children enjoy activities like Plant a “Salad Bowl”, a Potato Dig, Red Wigglers, and Outdoor Games. There is something for everyone in your family! Lots of information is shared to help you grow your own fresh produce. Don’t have space for your own garden? Come by and learn how to utilize our local community gardens and discover the joy of growing your own food!

A Time Of Hope
On Saturday, May 30th from 4:00 to 7 pm at Wild Ride Brewing we host a cancer awareness walk and gathering. Sponsored by OHSU Knight Cancer Institute, we will have activity booths, free skin cancer screenings, silent auction, and an easy one mile social walk to get our steps in for the day. Wild Ride-Prineville will donate $1 from every beverage served while you enjoy the entertainment, tent talks, and visits with everyone from our community.
Why do we host this? We bring the community together to support those who are battling cancer or who have battled it in the past. We connect current cancer patients with survivors to share experiences and understanding. Together we discover local/regional cancer resources for patients/survivors and their families; learn about preventative measures to help reduce risk; and discuss methods to help you get back on your feet and live your best life! Find out more about the event and register for the walk at https://runsignup.com/Race/OR/Prineville/ATimeOfHope.
