On Saturday, May 30th from 4:00 to 7 pm at Wild Ride Brewing we host a cancer awareness walk and gathering. Sponsored by OHSU Knight Cancer Institute, we will have activity booths, free skin cancer screenings, silent auction, and an easy one mile social walk to get our steps in for the day. Wild Ride-Prineville will donate $1 from every beverage served while you enjoy the entertainment, tent talks, and visits with everyone from our community.

Why do we host this? We bring the community together to support those who are battling cancer or who have battled it in the past. We connect current cancer patients with survivors to share experiences and understanding. Together we discover local/regional cancer resources for patients/survivors and their families; learn about preventative measures to help reduce risk; and discuss methods to help you get back on your feet and live your best life! Find out more about the event and register for the walk at https://runsignup.com/Race/OR/Prineville/ATimeOfHope.

We often prioritize our heart health or annual physicals, but our body’s largest organ—the skin—frequently goes overlooked. The reality is that more people are diagnosed with skin cancer in the U.S. each year than all other cancers combined. However, there is a powerful silver lining: when caught early, skin cancer is one of the most preventable and treatable conditions.

Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the U.S., affecting 1 in 5 Americans. The good news? It is highly treatable when caught early.

Don’t let a busy schedule stand in the way of your health. Join Project Happy Face, Lilly, and Snow Dermatology for a free professional screening at A Time Of Hope on Saturday May 30th from 1 – 7 pm at Wild Ride Brewery in Prineville.
