Steps Against Melanoma is coming to Prineville!

This year, AIM at Melanoma is expanding their message of melanoma awareness and action — and Prineville was selected to host one of the 5 walks scheduled across Oregon! Prineville’s walk is coordinated by passionate community members and Crook County On The Move. It will be held on May 21at the Crooked River Wetland Complex. There is no cost to participate, but donations and fundraising is appreciated. Anyone raising $50 or more will get a T-shirt commemorating the event. Unite with us across the state to support melanoma prevention, treatment and research that services all of Oregon including our community.

On-line registration is at https://support.aimatmelanoma.org/Oregon2023. We will be onsite at 8 am on Sunday, May 21st, to help you register in person. Opening Ceremonies will be at 9:30 and a conversational-paced walk will begin at 10 am. We’ll learn about how to protect our skin in the Central Oregon sun, win prizes, and enjoy conversation along the route!

Portland, Bend, Prineville, Corvallis, or Astoria are all participating at the same time on Sunday, May 21st. Let’s come together as a single, amplified voice across the state to honor those affected by melanoma! See you there!
